Mint Treasure

The first ever picture of me on PeachyKeen!

I was wandering around, killing some time in Covent Garden the other evening and ended up in Rokit (
http://www.rokit.co.uk/). . and I found this absolute Mint Treasure . . for £10! It is SO Wham! – tastic and 80’s that I feel like I should be wearing it with the sleeves bunched right up to the elbow! It definitely put ‘the boom boom into my heart’

The book I'm holding is the third one in the Twilight series - I think the less I say about how seriously in love I am with Edward Cullen - the better !

Barcelona Beauty

Found this little beauty whilst lazily strolling around Barcelona last year.

Off to Belgrade tomorrow – should provide a lovely backdrop for some more interesting pics. Back in a week!

Lukulele

I am definitely NOT a morning person, but every time this colleague of mine walks in to the office – it makes me smile. The reasons for this are threefold:

1) The way he channels the bohemian / geography teacher vibe.
2) The fact that he is probably wearing the best outfit I’ll see all day.
3) He seems so out of place in an office – in my head he should be sitting in a cafĂ© in Paris, writing poetry and knocking back absinthe!

He is the King of Quirky Details. The double breasted cardy is a world away from your bog standard River Island number. The adorable polka dot tie gives the classic shirt and chinos that signature eccentric twist! Great Stuff.

Peachy

I love Rizzo, she is the personification of Too Cool for Skool! Amazing outfits, great banter and definitely a woman among girls! (Ok – can we please overlook the fact that she was like 35 playing a 16 year old . . . !) Those of you who are die hard Grease fans will know that the name of this blog is down to a Rizzo one liner!

There should be a support group created called American Apparel Addicts Anonymous – because I think I have a problem! Latest item on the wish list – or in my case wish encyclopaedia – is this Peach-a-licious Stretch Bull Denim Slim skirt. Such an unusual colour, I thought of about 50 outfits when I saw it. . . I think you could rock it all year round.

Inspiration Sensation

It seemed like a good idea to use my inaugural post as a way of introducing myself . . however - after several failed attempts I've given up. Mostly because they all sounded like dodgy personal ads or lonely heart entries in a really rubbish newspaper! In fact the only thing that was missing was, 'likes to take long walks in the rain' and GSOH' . . Not good.

As such, I've decided to dive right in and talk about my obsession du jour - STREET STYLE. I was bored to tears with pictures if celebrities dressed up by their stylist and looking like clones - case in point: if I see one more snap of Nicole Richie in a maxi dress . . . snore much?! So I began to look elsewhere for inspiration. What really started the whole thing was a tip from my own personal style icon (Shout out to Lucius!!) - he forwarded me this link:
www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com. Real people, real style and beautifully photographed. I. Was. Hooked!

That one link opened up a world of street style sites, I've never been so inspired. I am now totally, overwhelmingly, addicted! It has changed my outlook, my wardrobe and has sparked a dormant creativity! As yet I have not appeared on one of these sites . . . but a girl can dream.

Here are a few of my favourites - Happy Surfing!
